- 1 1/2 cup flour
- (Sift before measuring)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 oz of chocolate
- (melt and cool)
Beat butter until soft.
Add sugar gradually.
Blend until light and creamy.
Beat egg.
Mix in.
Add vanilla and chocolate.
In different bowl:
Add salt and baking powder to sifted flour.
Resift.
Mix into butter mixture.
Form into 2" diameter roll/log.
Place on foil or wax paper.
Chill 12-24 hours.
Turn on oven to 400 degrees.
Grease cookie sheet.
Slice thin-ish for baking.
Bake 8-10 minutes.
